  Dear Representative:
The undersigned organizations representing cancer patients, providers, and researchers are writing to express strong support for the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act. Stem cell research is still in its early phases, but it is increasingly clear that embryonic stem cells offer significant potential to address human suffering from a wide range of diseases, including cancer.
We believe that the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act will remove some current barriers to embryonic stem cell research and create a more positive environment for stem cell research advances. We are committed to improving cancer treatments and the quality of cancer care, and we consider this research bill an important element of our ongoing and comprehensive efforts.
Please vote “yes” on the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act. A yes vote is a vote for individuals with cancer and other serious and life-threatening illnesses.
Sincerely,
